My practice explores musicality as a way of seeing, and materiality as a way of experiencing.

Through photography and painting, I work with fragments and traces — allowing surfaces to build, recede and re-emerge. The photographs I make are starting points rather than references. In the studio, I paint from sensation and memory rather than from what is directly visible. Painting becomes a physical exchange with materials: layered pigments, textiles, shells or feathers are buried and uncovered until a surface begins to hold its own presence.

The ongoing process of walking, photographing and painting is documented in the Studio Journal.
